FC Uralan (also referred to in some contexts as RSShOR Uralan) of Elista defeated Vityaz Mikhailovskoye 3-2 on October 10, 2026, in their final home match of the Third League (South zone, amateur / lower division) season. The match took place at 3:00 PM at the Yunost stadium in Elista.

The result concluded the team's league campaign on home soil. Earlier in the season Uralan had secured a place to represent Kalmykia at the Russian mini-football (8x8) championship finals in Sochi in November after winning the regional qualifier.

Kalmyk para-swimmer Dantes Abushaev, a candidate for Master of Sports of Russia and student of the Republican Sports and Adaptive School of Paralympic Reserve, collected four medals at the Russian Championship for blind sports (swimming discipline) held in the Republic of Mari El. More than 100 junior athletes from 22 regions competed.

Competing in class B2, Abushaev earned gold in the 50-meter breaststroke, silver in both the 100-meter breaststroke and 100-meter butterfly, and bronze in the 50-meter butterfly. Sculptor Nikolai Zhukov has completed the sculpting of the central Green Tara statue for the future Buddha Green Tara Park in Lagan. This is a new, independent image created specifically for Lag an and is not a copy of the six-meter statue in Elista.

Next steps include bronze casting, surface processing and patination, followed by delivery and installation. The project became possible after Lagan's victory in the All-Russian competition for comfortable urban environments under the national project "Infrastructure for Life." The park is intended as a major cultural and spiritual attraction.

Artists from the Kalmyk State Song and Dance Ensemble Tulpan won awards at the International Competition of Professional Artists named after Sevzhid in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Participants came from Mongolia, Russia, and China. Vladimir Bambarykov, Dorzhi Boskhomdzhiev, and Tseren Derneev received the title of Laureate of the III Degree. Vladimir Bambarykov, chief ballet master and Honored Artist of Kalmykia, was also awarded the medal Excellent Worker of Culture of Mongolia for his contribution to cultural development and performance mastery. Students of the Republican Complex Sports School of Olympic Reserve and the Hand-to-Hand Combat Federation of the Republic of Kalmykia, coached by Mergen Markhaev, won medals at all-Russian competitions in Stavropol. The events included the Friendship Cup and a stage of the Russian Cup. In the 14-15 age group Sofia Tyurbeeva took gold. In the 12-13 group Saida Omarova, representing SPK Dzhal from Peschany settlement and coacheTyurbeevad by V. L. Ataev, took second, and Galina Shataeva took bronze.
